Katharine Claytor is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Delta Dental and other affiliated companies. Delta Dental is a market-leading dental insurer, bridging the gap between oral health and emerging technologies.  

A global business leader, Kathy has been responsible for people management in high-performing for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Throughout her professional career, she has strategically built diverse teams that directly contribute to increased profitability. She is adept at leading company-wide transformation and change management initiatives that result in improved project success.  

Her passion for advancing the HR profession through certification and learning led her to join the Human Resource Certification (HRCI) Board where she currently serves as Vice Chair.  Kathy also serves on the Board of VERGE an alliance to advance Tech and Biotech solutions in the region.
With a global focus, Kathy led the people operations for an India based tech subsidiary for more than 5 years.  She later served as a board member for the company, providing strategic and tactical oversight. Other global work includes service on the New Delhi Institute of Management HR curriculum advisory board, recognition as a Top 100 Global HR Leader and interviews in People Matters, a leading HR publication in India. Kathy has traveled extensively and served on Executive HR Delegations to India, China, Israel and South Africa.

Kathy holds an MA in Human Resources, a BA in Business and Economics and completed Harvard Executive Education courses. She earned the Global Professional in Human Resources, GPHR, and Senior Professional in Human Resources, SPHR, certifications through the Human Resource Certification Institute.
